DANA LIZIK - ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT & MUSICAL THEATRE COORDINATOR

Dana Lizik is the Administrative Assistant and Musical Theatre Coordinator. She began dancing at age 2 at Dance Tree, spent a year dancing in Chicago, and joined RAFA in 2001. She became a classroom assistant and Preludes assistant in 2006 and has worked as the Graded Division assistant. She is frequently called upon as a substitute instructor. In addition, she co-directed RAFA on Broadway 2011. Dana also taught basic ballet and jazz at Acrosports Gymnastics. Her performing credits include 5 seasons with the Preludes, various musical productions such as Thoroughly Modern Millie and Beauty & the Beast under direction of Michael Tapley and Dontee Kiehn among others. She was member of Bay Area Houston Ballet & Theatre for three years where her performance in productions include 7 seasons of the Nutcracker, On Edge, Coppelia, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Retrospective and Amber Thorton's Tangled and Twisted. Dana recently spent several months working as performer in Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida and remains a seasonal cast member. She has also studied improv and comedy writing at Second City in Chicago. She graduated with a B.A. in Communication from the University of Houston Clear Lake in December 2010 and hopes to attend law school in the future. Dana is sometimes referred to as “Glue Stick”. Dana is also a certified Zumba! Instructor!
