In August 2011, Eduardo R. Guzman began work with the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (RAFA) as Musical Theatre Instructor and Broadway Studio Workshop (BSW) Music Director. Before officially joining the RAFA team, Eduardo was privledged to work as Music Director for BSW's Spring and Summer 2011 productions, Once Upon A Mattress and Willy Wonka. Eduardo has also worked as Music Director for Baytown Little Theatre's productions of You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown and Last Five Years. He has also been involved in productions of The Wedding Singer, Seussical, and Annie Jr.
From September 2009 to September 2011, Eduardo served as Music Director and Worship Leader at Pasadena First Church of the Nazarene, where he worked to develop a dynamic music and creative arts department. In 2007, before joining PFC, Eduardo worked for two semester-long seasons with First Congregational Church of Houston and Trinity Episcopal Church as a music intern, where he had the opportunity to rehearse and conduct the 20+ member choruses during various special services throughout the liturgical year. In August 2008, he began work with the student singers and instrumentalists of Faith Christian Academy, where his main responsibilities involved vocal coaching. Eduardo has also worked as a staff accompanist for the Baytown Independent School District, Elite Music and Fine Arts Academy, Houston, and the Kinkaid School.
Eduardo is currently a fourth-year student at Houston Baptist University's School of Music, where he is studying vocal performance, piano performance, and conducting. Before HBU, Eduardo attended the University of Houston's Moore's School of Music, where he studied piano with Dr. Sooah Chae, and San Jacinto College's Monte Blue School of Music, where he studied voice with Dr. Paul Busselberg and piano with Dr. Sarah Spencer. He is working to obtain a Bachelor's Degree of Music in Vocal Performance.
