GRADED DIVISION

black line
Girls from the RAFA Graded Division perform at the 2007 Informal Demonstration.

The Academy offers a very exclusive program for the gifted and serious ballet student referred to as the Graded Division. This program is available to experienced students only after successful interviews and auditions. The Graded Division is a very intensive training program for the aspiring professional.

First time applicants to the Academy are generally considered for the Open Division in order to observe their potential. Exceptions are made, however, for experienced applicants who immediately demonstrate the appropriate characteristics. Graded classes meet 3 to 6 days each week depending on the age and level of the dancers. The Graded Division curriculum includes technique, theory classes, modern, character, variations and pas de deux classes, seminars, field trips, and special performing opportunities.
